Wrestle Time Episode 5 - A Call For Death

In this episode the guys (okay mostly Nick) go too far and pray for the drug-related death of Jeff Hardy, complain about Wrestlemania, discuss movies for way too long and drift off into a weird conversation about Nick's cat. To see the show on Youtube head below:

The guys started out talking about movies for some stupid reason and mentioned such stellar motion picture treats as Gojira, the Matthew Broderick Godzilla, Mighty Ducks, Ghostbusters and about six others. But this is a wrestling podcast so we'll dwell on the nod to Kane's film debut See No Evil. Here's a clip:

Talk quickly moved to Jeff Hardy being a shitbag. Here is said shitbag being shitty:

What a shitbag... Anyway James and Nick were contemplating why they record a wrestling podcast (or continue to watch wrestling for that matter) if they hate it so much. During that conversation they mention a certain videoblogger with a similar disdain and make fun of him. His name is pspower and he has a dumb haircut. Here's his latest video.

In a rather uncomfortable moment, James plugged Beyond Wrestling to silence from Nick who is not a fan. They are friends of the show, though and are becoming quite a hot topic in the wrestling world, so if you haven't already, check them out at Lookmanofans.com. They also post full matches on their youtube page such as this one below:

Speaking of plugs, James and Nick's new promotion BRAWL has been moving forward and James would love for you guys to head to the facebook page and like them. Nick however wants to earn your respect and doesn't think you should be liking things that you havent even seen yet. Choose your side.

Only feature we had was the Youtube Pick of the Week so here it is:

Wrestle Time Episode 4 - The Blackbox Episode

Nick and James return (late) with the fourth episode of Wrestle Time wherein they discuss Dolph Ziggler, The Rock, Justin Bieber and unmanly jobs all while DRIVING A CAR! Check it out on Youtube (embedded below) or on our Kocosports link (which will be added soon).

As mentioned on the show, they guys were driving to a taping of NFW Pulse. Check out their website at http://www.nfwpulse.com or check out one of their full matches right now:

During the discussion of The Rock's return and to Wrestlemania his acting prowess was called into question specifically the movie Be Cool which is a sequel that Nick truly loathes as it shits on the awesomeness of the original Get Shorty. James just likes it for a goofy Vince Vaughn scene.

Wrestlemania talk of course led to once again shitting on Wrestlemania X8, specifically Steve Austin versus Scott Hall. Here is that match that literally NO ONE asked for.

If you aren't happy with our mini-episode (or the random driving noise in the background) just wait about 3 days and listen to our new FULL LENGTH outing we plan on recording Friday or Saturday night. It will have less white noise or random bouts of James shrieking at Nick to watch the road.

The Rock came back and has made bad movies in his absence. Nick is a scary driver.

Slipped My Mind

A bit of "Good News/Bad News" situation here.

Good News: We did in fact record a podcast this weekend!

Bad News: I completely forgot about it until an hour ago.

This means the podcast (a special AUTO edition) will come to you Wednesday or Thursday. It isn't a very long one as a feature we had planned fell through, but that is okay since just a few days later you get a full-length in-studio over-hyphenated episode to enjoy.

I apologize for the mix up, it has been a rather energetic weekend for both myself and James (His birthday, random indy show trips, I got a new phone and a new couch; lots of shit you guys do not really care about.) Thing will return to normal very soon, so this random set of mishaps will not be the norm.

Sorry I made a liar of myself from my last post. We really are trying to get on track, real life is kind of keeping us on our toes, though.

Well, I need to go to bed; Disney World trip tomorrow. I promise I will work on the new show as soon as I get back. Keep checking back for the upload. Also, why not email us at askwrestletime@gmail.com and wish James a Happy Birthday? It isn't his fault I forgot, don't take it out on him.

Taking a Backseat

Hey guys, its Nick.

Just popping in to apologize that there wasn't a show last weekend. James and I had both logged some rather hectic workdays last week and when it came time for us to come together to work on something we just weren't really in the mood to discuss what stupid shit WWE did that week.

So instead we opted to work on our new wrestling promotion we are soon opening, BRAWL; specifically the website for it. We have mentioned the endeavor in past episodes and we have gotten a lot of opportunities to get it up and running sooner than we thought. That got a bit of a fire under our asses and we decided to take a week off to concentrate on our "baby".

That said, we do have plans to record the next episode of Wrestle Time this week and have it up hopefully Friday or Saturday night to speculate on WWE's Elimination Chamber. If not, we have a chance to record a pretty awesome special episode that will push us to a Sunday or even Monday release.

So either way you guys have content coming your way. I really hate missing weeks, especially so close to our debut, but when you got creative juices flowing, sometimes you gotta let the Kevin Nash jokes take a backseat to other projects. Wrestle Time is indeed still around and if our views and downloads have anything to say about it, that makes a lot of you happy.

Thanks for understanding or at least being apathetic about it enough to not make us feel guilty about "ditching" you.

Friends?

Wrestle Time Episode 3 - Kevin Nash Ruined Our Segment

The boys are back (in town) with Episode 3 of Wrestle Time. To compensate for their weekly absence the episode gets an extra ten minutes! Actually, Nick just didn't know when to shut up. You can view the episode on Youtube below or check it out on Kocosports.com

During the conversation about Sting and Undertaker James mentioned a fan-made image of Sting holding an Undertaker card in an homage to The Dark Knight. So... here it is and stuff.

That conversation led to Nick submitting his vote for worst Wrestlemania: Wrestlemania 18. Here's the intro for it because, what the hell, we found it online.

Which then led to James mentioning one of the dumbest moments of WCW History (behind Robocop ripping off a cage door) wherein Rick Steiner is accosted by a demon-possessed My Buddy doll:

In our crazed desire to discuss Mark Henry we forgot to choose a Youtube clip of the week so there isn't one this week. Consider it a protest for not getting any emails from you guys. To avoid further protests, email us at Askwrestletime@gmail.com Check us out, we're fighting the power. Yeah, Egypt ain't got nothin on us.

Where'd We Go?

As maybe no one is wondering, there isn't an episode 3 of Wrestle Time up yet. As even fewer may wonder why I figured I would give a half-assed explanation.

We usually record Wrestle Time on a Friday or Saturday with it being released no later than Sunday. This week, however, James and I have been not feeling too well and the show's recording kept getting postponed. By Sunday morning, a few hours prior to Royal Rumble, we decided it would be pretty stupid to record a wrestling discussion before one of the biggest events of the year only for it to be released after said event. We had briefly flirted with the notion of recording immediately following the Rumble but that plan was quickly axed when I realized I have to go work at a daycare the next morning.

With that in mind we are skipping this week and will return next Friday with a show featuring our thoughts on the ppv as well as the segments we were planning on debuting this week.

So for anyone who might have been looking for a new episode, I apologize for the tardiness. Here is an amusing Dolph Ziggler related image to quell your pain:

See you next week everybody!

Wrestle Time Episode 2 - Hey Look! Content

Nick and James return with the second episode featuring actual wrestling discussion. Watch it below and we'll have a link to the audio version as soon as possible.

The guys actually watched wrestling this week so the show contained recaps from WWE and TNA television (and their opinions thereof) as well as the usual random quips and bad jokes.

With Royal Rumble coming up next week, past rumbles were mentioned. James talked about one in particular featuring Rhyno and Tajiri actually doing spots in the match (what a novel idea). Turns out it was Royal Rumble 2004 and Tajiri and Rhyno are in the first 10 minutes so here it is:

This episode also saw the debut of a new segment "Fact or Fiction" where the guys posed a statement and then decided if it was fact or fiction. One of the questions asked mentioned a brick and mortar Hall of Fame for WWE. Nick mentioned WWE Niagra Falls as a WWE flop but didn't mention a forgotten tidbit from WWF past, the WWF Hotel and Casino:

This episode is a bit longer than the last because as the show went on the conversation got a bit more interesting. James and Nick have said that next week they'll pick up where they left off on a few points as well as the debut of another segment.

Starting to seem like a real show now, huh?
